My name is Tony Kimberly and I’ve been consciously working towards becoming a better man for the last year or so. I’ve found a lot of interest in my journey so I’m writing these posts in a way that anybody can repeat my steps and be on their path to becoming a better man.
Like a lot of people in this world I was lost, and I felt lost too. I was at a breaking point and it was stressing my happiness and my relationships. My lack of direction and (subsequently) motivation was coloring my outlook on the rest of life. I was sleeping ten or eleven hours a night and avoiding my work, school work and housework at all costs. I spent my time playing video games or reading books. On top of all that my poor outlook almost ended my relationship with my fiancee and I wasn’t going anywhere in life.
I wasn’t always like that, when I was younger I always knew what I wanted to do. From third grade I told my family that I was going to be a heart surgeon. As a teenager I had my own projects I worked on that kept me busy as I learned new things. When I turned 16 I got a job working at a local service station and dove into learning to be an automotive technician and maximizing my income from it. I had a clear idea of what I wanted from life and I regularly took steps to get there. Above all, this kept me happy and motivated and it was time to find that happiness again.
I was still very lost at this point so I just began reading books. I’ve always loved the beginning of stories, I love Batman Begins, I love biographies about successful people because I want to know how they got where they are from a normal life. So I started trying new things and along the way I discovered some traits and tricks to bettering myself. I’m not a millionaire and I don’t date supermodels but I’m happy and going places, so here is my journey…
